Privacy Policy

HeyNova is a mobile app for puppy owners, operated by Wesley van Straalen. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at wesleyvanstra@gmail.com.

You sign in anonymously — no name or email address is required to use the app. You may optionally set a display name and join a shared household using an invite code, so that reminders and progress can be synced with others in your home.

We store the following in Google Firebase (Firestore) so the app can work and sync across your devices and household:

• An anonymous user ID.
• An optional display name and household membership.
• Pup details you enter: name, age or birthdate, and breed.
• Your reminders, training programs, and completion history.
• Your device push notification token and timezone, used to deliver reminders at the right time.

When you use the AI program generator, your questionnaire answers and pup details are sent to our cloud function and to Anthropic(the “Claude” AI API) to generate a training program for your pup. This data is used only to produce your program.

HeyNova offers optional paid plans — a monthly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchases and unlock features. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID and purchase data (such as which product you bought, your subscription status and renewal or expiry dates, and the App Store transaction receipt), together with basic device information. We use this only to give you access to the features you paid for and to keep your subscription status in sync across your devices.

Reminders are delivered as push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service (APNs). To deliver them, we store your device token and timezone as described above.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the app. Your data may be processed by:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, and messaging. Privacy policy.
• Anthropic — AI training-program generation. Privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — purchase and subscription management. Privacy policy.
• Apple — payment processing (App Store) and push notification delivery. Privacy policy.

• No advertising.
• No selling of your personal data.
• No third-party analytics or tracking.

We keep your data while you use the app. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing wesleyvanstra@gmail.com, and we'll remove it.

The app is intended for adults (puppy owners) and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
